Hey guys,
Just picked up a '90 GSX600f as a temporary ride and despite it flying through a warrant (at VTNZ, not the local shadies), i've found a problem with the front brakes.
Riding around at low speeds the bike was making a bit of a plasticy bump noise like a piece of loose fairing or something and I eventually traced it to the front left disk, which is loose on its rivit thingies.
There is a bit of play in the disk, ie you can grab it and shake it around enough to make it rattle, which i've never seen before. All the rivits are loose, theres no obvious other problems or reason for it, the brake caliper seems to be in line etc. Its also only on the left disk, RHS is sweet as.
So - is this a problem? It doesn't seem like the disk is gonna come away or anything, and I can live with the rattle. Or is it possible to replace the rivits with some new ones. The disk is otherwise in good shape, and given this bike cost me stuff all I really don't want to spend big money on it.
Looking forward to you thoughts.
