For christ's sake make sure there is a good buffer zone between the track and any remaining maize stalks (harvested) that may be protruding out of the ground..
A chap I know overshot a jump, crashed, and ended up with one impaled through his mouth (underneath) pinning his tounge to the roof. They're sharp little buggers..:pinch:

we race in maize paddocks here in gizzy at least 3 times a year- never heard of anything nasty like that happening, we rely on the bikes to mow the stalks down, which over a day they do quite nicely.
note, flattening the track a bit the day before with your van will fuck the paint down the sides though...

a Maize Paddock motocross is a very easy entry level race, Maize Paddocks are flat to rolling, and the tracks are laid out in a way to make use of the natural terrain, it is the most basic type of racing and very good fun for all levels, there are no man made jumps or technical sections to catch people out,
For christ's sake make sure there is a good buffer zone between the track and any remaining maize stalks (harvested) that may be protruding out of the ground..

i have never heard of that either, no motorsport can be made 100% safe but i will take you comment on board.

Tracey will be down in Otago on an accountants conference so I'll be sweet on that account.
Hemex has piked again, we were meant to be riding together on Sunday, something about going to a lake spa to heal his aching shoulder or whatever this weeks one is!
His bike will seize up due to lack of use and rusting around the piston rim and wheel bearings, and not wear and tear, if he isn't careful!
My choice for this weekend would be Sandpit or this one. Sounds like fun squirting around in the mud.

Thanks again scott, craig and team of helpers, for another great day, :2thumbsup I was a bit nervise watching the first lot going round on the practice laps sliping and sliding around in the morning, but man when the track dried out it was awesome, got to say there are some real fast novice riders in senior C, I mean reeeal fast haha.
Didn't take too may pics, as some dumb ass forgot to charge battery in camera:doh:so relying on climntie, he was taking few, before Grace had an off, hope shes doing OK mate.

Scotty you will have to develop a better technique of putting those pegs in they seem to be knocked down by a superior form of motorcycle (i.e.more than two wheels)
looks like you all had a great day. I couldn't make it, a bit gutted, but we will make it on the next one round 3 ?

i would much prefer if the riders of these 'superior machines" could just learn to control them a bit better as to go around the pegs i am using now, rather than just over them,

Defo keen for one of these rides tho.. looks like heaps of fun. Actually drove past and saw everyone lining up so we were the crazy dudes tooting on the motrway

You guys/girls are spoilt for choice.
In most other countries they virtually shut down racing over winter, yet here you have, Dead toad/tadpole, Maize Paddock and the Woodhill Two man all on consecutive weekends.
Plus a few other rides as well.
