Gotta watch 'em...
Was out later than usual this morning and the roads were full of RD vans. One had a huge top mounted orange hazard light that made it visible for about ten miles in any direction. No problem with him. But the one that caused me an "arse-twanging" moment had no such lights. He just backed out into the road as I came yowling round the corner, practically parallel to the ground (I exaggerate for effect you unnerstand).....fortunately I saw him in plenty time to deploy the picks in a sedate and timely fashion, thereby shedding excess velocity and evading a potentially unpleasant meeting between velocipede and motor chariot. But I did sweat a bit there....and pootled more carefully from then on...

:sweatdrop:eek5:Rural delivery hazards. On my morning commute a couple of months back the guy who delivers papers out around our rural area in his shitty old van coming the opposite direction decides to throw a paper at a letter box on my side. Instead of slowing to wait for me to pass, he throws it in front of me. It went right passed my chest.
As I rode trying to control my temper (breath deeply 3 times) I thought better of him and thought, nah he couldnt be so stupid, he probably just didnt see me. I certainly hope thats the case anyway.
