where do you guys meet these days for the TNR, and what time? I am not coming but I can pretend I am out in the cold on my bike while I freeze my ass off in the law library.

I was keen, but it would appear the riffer is going to be in the shed while I undo the damage done to it over the weekend while I wasn't watching

what happened to your bike?

Anyone riding today?

exam tomorrow. Will be studying. Well it is professional and sustainability issues so by studying I mean reading through endless notes without taking anything in.

If you're interested in riding more than one average road, week after week and monotonous week, feel free to join us - riders of all ages, skills and speeds.

That said, I won't be there this week, but should be back and kicking next week! :)

pssh that's just a run to a pub where a brawl usually ensues, and honestly i reckon the SA is more of a W for waikato tnr

and smctnr does mix it up a bit and those aren't just "average" roads - we just try to stay north of the cops pursuing the atnr ;)

You forgot to mention the tits - but then being a Honda rider, I guess you didn't notice. :Pokey:

Yeah, I can see how the Waikato backroads would scare ya. You'd actually have to do some riding!

So when are you coming on your first SATNR then?

Sorry what? Every single SMCTNR I've been on (which is pretty much all of 'em since we started it) has just done SH16. Or done 80% of SH16 and then Woodcocks Rd. And then usually, rather than go back down SH16 (too many corners for one week?) it goes back down SH1 to Auckland.

Oh the madness! The insanity! The humanity!

And let's face it, SH16 is a collection of straights linked by the rare, occasional corner. "None bar one brief group of a dozen corners (which are found at the end of SH16, assuming you've actually managed to survive the monotony of the rest of the ride first) which really requires you to actually slow down below the open road speed limit, or even activate your higher brain functions for."

Where do you guys even go on the SATNR?

And lol:

<img src="http://i46.tinypic.com/2urti80.png"></img>

So why do we go up SH16? I'd like to go at least once though.

But the best most funnest roads I've been on have been the ones less travelled.

PirateJafa

Where do you guys even go on the SATNR?

In the last three months?

Most of the roads within the green marked area:

They go up SH16 because there is a total of maybe three decent roads out west/north.

And SH16 is the only one which gives more than a total of 30mins riding time.

And our most frequented pubs are in these area's. One of them even has free hotdogs for bikers on the last Thursday of every month.
