I worked on a UK trading floor in the UK in the 90's

That shit happened all the time.

Loved it.

Never been called to fix an issue and found something like that... ;)

Now remember, a pissed off employee is an adrenalised employee, and generally more productive... or at least thats what Microsoft thinks :pinch:

Uh, really? Computers are a tool, like a hammer or a screwdriver or a vise or a pair of pliers. A little more sophisticated. They are just a machine. If the machine isnt doing what you want it to do (and it will only do what you tell it to do) then the problem is with you, not the machine.

I do admit that over the years working on stuff (and being worked over by stuff) I have become frustrated, annoyed, purple with rage even, but thats a problem I have, not the machine's problem. I used to break and ruin a lot of stuff. Not so much now because I have learned the lesson of if I find myself betting annoyed, I go and have a cup of tea. Thats useful because 45 minutes after that, I get to stop and pee.

I can honestly never remermber telling a computer to blue screen of death just before saving my work? or 1/2 way thru a presentation (just so you blame the not saving on me)
