Well I was thinking about it, But i'm so unprepared its not funny. I've got mate that I could use to do the run part........
Anyway the organisers are having issues and it might not happen as they don't have enough entries.
TripleCross organizers have decided that in 2009 the event must be financially self-sufficient.
Funds received from entries must equal or exceed the cost of running the event.
Expenses in running the event include: course preparation, equipment hire, trophy manufacture, insurance cover, medical personnel, fire truck and other general things which in total run to almost $10,000.
As entries are still far from reaching the break-even mark, the decision is still pending as to whether or not the event will be held this year.
The final date for making this decision is Febuary 27th and all entrants will be notified that day as to whether or not it will proceed.
Should the event be cancelled, entry fees will be refunded within the following week.
If you are considering doing the Triplecross but have not yet entered, please do so before Febuary the 27th. This is your chance to keep this fantastic and unique event alive.

Details for Triplecross 2010 are out now. www.triplecross.co.nz
Anyone planning on doing it?
Looks like it's even longer than last year: 25km Mtb, 12km Run, 75km enduro.
I don't think I'd be able to get round that distance, so I have asked if ladies can enter in juniors: 7/5/15. If there are any other ladies out there who are keen to do the same then please e-mail the organiser - I'm hoping the more people ask the more chance we have

Yeah, I reckon a TripleCross should be
90 minute CC
1 hour break
20 minute EnduroCross
1 hour break
20 minute Motocross
Bugger running & cycling.

I'm seriously thinking about doing it. I run about 10km in 55 mins, so I'd do 12 in about 1 hour 10mins. Then 25km I'd say 2 hours then you don't start the dirt bike till 1:30, so I'd say I'd get at least 30 mins - 1 hour to rest before I'd get on my dirtbike.

Mmmm, quadcross ??
60 minute CC ( 15 minute laps )
1 hour break
10 minute Endurocross
1 hour break
15 minute MX
1.5 hour break ( time to change tires :) )
20 minute SuperMoto
The only problem with SuperMoto is location, finding a spot for CC/Endurocross/MX would not be to hard, but adding SuperMoto would be tricky. If you made the Endurocross no metal containers & laid it out to minimise injuries on falling off ( multiple entry rock sections with fall off areas to the side maybe ) & did the MX as natural terrain, it'd be interesting, I figure if you do all that you'd remove the injury arguements.

Ample time for sore muscles to cool down and seize up!
