A KBer wants to have a go with my dyno on the weekend of the 14th march.
Anyone keen for a dyno day and BBQ? Bring the kids - there is apool

Blowing the dust of the computer and DAQ box, the logs say that it was last used Feb 2006. Hmmm, hope it still goes.

Rules are simple
- No guarantees on accuracy - it is a work in progress that got shelved when I ran out of money. I feel it reads a bit low but it is consistent run to run.
- If your bike blows up, you will have my deepest sympathy - and that is all. Strictly as- is, no guarantees or responsibility.

Yeah, i'll be keen.
Hopefully she puts out close to the 45 horsies she's supposed to, if all plans go ahead, etc etc.

Why the hell not?

I'd like to come and watch.

Could maybe put the VTR on there for some shits and giggles if you need someone to run. Am curious to know how many ponies she musters.

Inertia dyno - basically the same as a Dynojet 100. see http://pages.quicksilver.net.nz/geoffm/dyno/DIY_dyno.html

Well then - how about a dyno day next weekend - probably sunday?

Make it a family day and bring the kids and they can swim in the pool. Do the BBQ thing.
Any volunteers for the stuff we need:
A couple of 12v batteries
beer
sausages for the BBQ (and salady stuff if you insist)
a hand tidying the shed

THose who are keen, PM me your email details, etc.
Numbers may be limited as it is at my parents place.

So far there is one confirmed taker for a play on the dyno (this weekend - Sunday 15th). Anyone else?

If it is successful, I might repeat it in the future.

Ahhh bugger ya Geoff, thought about PMing you a couple of times about the dyno. buckets are racing that weekend so that ends that idea:doh:.

Oh well at least that means it has been dragged out of the corner and will be ready to run:laugh:.

I sure do hope I'm not the only one going, if it's still going!

Well you will be pleased to know it was a bit of a washout - the damn data acquisition electronic box appears to have croaked. This could be expensive - i have emailed the manufacturer in the US and we will see. It was not a problem I was expecting - it has been fine for years, and it connects and boots up, but won't pickup the data from the sensors.
If I had known it was going to die, I still have my previous controller in the attic and could have got that out and set it up again.

I will organise another day when it is running again - reliably.
