That is an AWESOME vid. Loved the Colin Edwards keeping his bikes going by using his arm as an out rigger.

Nothing wrong with putting that vid up again fella... good viewing.
And just to confirm my really amateur status at this shit, I can easy enough understand the power sliding while in and coming out of corners... but this controlled sliding under brakes has got me fooked. Anyone care to explain the hows to's? And for the squidlies, this will not be for attempts on your favourite road to get it sideways... this is track stuff only.

well...its bullshit really...its not fast...and its not actually backing it in. backing it in is wheel the wheel is still spinning...locking up the rear brake is not really an efficient way to brake...and its really easy..any fool can do it..try it!!

Yeah, nice compilation vid! :niceone:
A bit too much of the guy in the white leathers though (he was a very loose unit).
My favorite is still Gary McCoy sliding his Red Bull Yamaha, and pulling it up into a wheelie while the rear was still lit up and sliding!

Impresive to watch the pros at it under power but the guy in the white leathers didn't look any where as good as it did appear to be under brakes not "on the gas"

Here is a link that will kinda show you how. This is easy on dirt and on knobly tires on the road but have not got is sussed on the bandit 250 yet, may need more power.
My mate followed me to whangamata oneday and he said the rear end on my bike was constanly sliding from corner to corner going down hill i did not relise this so some of you may be allready doing it just not knowing. MX bike probly helps me for road. You will find it easier once the tyre becomes so sticky the rubber is peeling off and sticking to your gaurd.

"If you learn to drift properly you will look way cooler than your mates"
Classic line from him.

Classic line from him.
Also note spelling mistake at 0.43 - should read "if you brake TOO hard the rear wheel locks and eventually breaks out"
Can't believe Hitcher missed that one
