Right! I have my eyes on a big bike, so the little ol hornet must go to pay for the new one!

2001 Hornet 250, 16,800km as of sitting in my garage right now. Still riding, but keeping it to a minimum as selling. Bought as a fresh import around 5,000km. Has just had an oil and filter change last friday. Warrant til June, Rego til December.

Those who know me know i ride sensibly. Havent thrashed the snot out of it or anything, she is my baby and has been very well looked after:love:. Garaged full time when not out riding.
Had a minor drop on the right on sat just gone (an ACTUAL drop and not a crash. Laid it down at a dead stop in some gravel, couldnt hold it up due to my bad back). Couple of scratches in the engine casing is all there is to show for it. Replacing slightly bent lever and scratched mirror this week. Exhaust didnt touch down.

Have added red "Honda Racing" wheelstripes. Easily removable if you dont like em.
Givi screen on the front, makes quite a difference on the open rd. Takes a lot of pressure off your neck and shoulders.
Put a new O-Ring chain on around 10,000k
Bridgestone dual compound on the back, only about 1500k old, still tread to burn. Awesome stick through the corners, and no worries about flat-spotting when riding straight lines. Contiforce something on the front, plenty of tread left

Feel free to drop me a line to check it out. She is a great bike, i would keep her if i could afford it!

Oh yeah, forgot to mention half the bits n pieces done to her.
Full carb clean at around 10,000k
4 new plugs at the same time
Super-bright headlight bulb, made a HUGE difference to night riding
erm.... brain only semi-functional... sure i've forgotten more.
Oh yeh, oil and filter every 5,000 km

Redline is up at 16k, but peak torque hits at 10k. Pulls plenty hard from right down low (not as peaky as ZXR, CBR etc).
Nice big 180 rear tyre, gives the big bike look, and nice smooth predictable cornering.

Take her for a ride, you will be convinced!

Ooh, will throw in a disk lock and reminder cable too. Possibility of a tailpack if ya pull finger :shifty:

Be sad to see her go dude.

But damn shes a nice bit of kit...

Outrun a cbr or zxr without even trying.

Good luck bro.
