O.k. everyone says, and I've told people the same thing, that making the bike lighter will make it faster. Decided to go the whole hog on this idea...so how much faster will I be now???

Should really rocket but I think your mid-corner frame flex may be an issue, plus your wheelbase is mighty short.......

Hmmm, not sure but I think you are doing it wrong:doh:.

Look at the bright side with such a short wheel base it is going to very flicky:laugh:

The lack of fairing may be an issue at speed, and I think engine braking (or lack of) may be a possible issue in the future...

I'm by no means an expert on mechanical things but I sure hope that rear shock is well lubricated.

Still, you could give it to Orange County Choppers to sort your handling issue out

Thats not a shock.... its a butt locating/securing pin

Yup that rear shock is scary

Toking those heavy rubber things of the wheels will help reduce weight and reduce the diameter thereby reducing the torque required to drive, meaning smaller lighter motor and more speed still....Duh

Yup that rear shock is scary

So is the possible sudden threat to my insides the reason it's called a SHOCK.

Just to clarify the engineering, are you using your body as a stressed member?

O.k. everyone says, and I've told people the same thing, that making the bike lighter will make it faster.

Faster??? faster what?.....between stop lights or faster over the flying mile.

Power and more lightness = faster acceleration..........so its faster between stop lights.

Power and more aerodynamics = faster top speed........so its faster over the flying mile.

This is the exam question!!!! If you get it right you can buy yourself a Chocolate Fish.

Q. So making the bike lighter will make it faster in what way???

A. Accelerate Faster.

B. Faster Top Speed.

C. Both, Accelerates Faster and has a Faster Top Speed.

Only one answer is correct.

Paris Hilton knew the correct answer so she is off to get her Chocolate Fish.

How blond are you! whats your answer!

Just to clarify the engineering, are you using your body as a stressed member?

If the above is the case, where/what does the engine get mounted to?

Someone else has been using my body and now I have a stressed member.

Hard to tell as power to weight must also include rider weight. I suggest you get this guy to ride it.

As far as the minimalist "less is more" addage goes - you certainly have much more less tha any others around.

My other concern is crash bungs, do they get mounted directly on the rider?

Riding that...my body would be stressed...
