ok so the K bike is broken (cosmetic, now at the workshop for a few new bits) due to the reversing, Christchurch Blonde (no she was not a hotty).

Whilst at the repairs place I was seduced with an option on a BMW R1150RS (04, 50KM) in the fancy colours (blue silver) for what I think is a reasonable price.

Sadly, the Mighty K 75 will have to be traded in as I cant justify two Tourers (even if I could fit them in my wee garage). Of course, if you know someone that might want to purchase the K them PM me (its a goody and well loved)

So, any comments on the 1150? Noted that they had problems with surging (none with this one) and they are not a sprot bike. Suits my style of riding and is very smooth at highway speeds.

Would look at running up to 30-40Km a year so need something that lasts and is not too bad to service (do most of my own. Might even do valve clearances as these don't use shims right)

Any ideas advice, welcome.

Cheers
