I'm out.... there's something going on in Taupo and all affordable accommodation is taken. I was going to bring the family and make a weekend of it. The weather is not looking good for camping or riding so I'm going to bail out..

If anyone wants my slot on this track day, send me a PM and they can have it..

I'm also booked, but have bailed after a great day yesterday at the MotoTT event. If anyone wants my spot PM me and you can have it - I've paid for it so somebody might as well us it ;)

Wasn't that crash hot this morning ! Never much good at math but
Road tyres + Resin + showers = carnage
Felt for the guys/gals that lost their footing today ! But came away feeling shattered after a brillian arvo ! Got a few good sessions in and had a ball ! The drive home wasn't so great ! The desert road takes no prisoners when ya blow a heater hose !
Thanks to Phill for stopping and took an hour out of his long trip home to run up the hill (no jill wasn't there) to fetch me some water !

Big thanks to Kiwi Trackdays. Team 'Shel Racing' had a blast.

Granma had a ride on the Impulse 400 and I just loved it.

The only complaint I have, is the sore arm and leg muscles.

Anyone see that lady on the new blade? Man she was quick, only ridden the bike twice, certainly not scared to open the throttle!!

Until she rode off the track 4 times in one lap.

She had plenty of help on Friday when she had an issue with it though.

Yep been chasing her round the track at a few events now Sandra her name is (not like that at all, hubbies a good bloke too) finally got into my groove in the last session and reeled her in !

Slovakian she is and yeah she did the same to me and Leong not long ago ! Near got Leong rear end me as i missed her by a foot !
But i recon watch that space cause when she gets the red misting under controll and smooths out she gonna be peeling seconds off her times ! Think her hubby timed her at a 1.43 in that last session !

Yep it's all very well to go fast down the straights.......but getting the knee down to get round corners quicker is a different ball game.

Some riders never seem to master it.

A guy came around the outside of me on the hairpin at the end of start/finish
straight, had to pull out and ended up off on the grass. :oi-grr:

I reckon it's better to slow down a bit, get smoother, get good lines and master the right techniques.
