What is the process involved and is it expensive? I have a set of RWU forks with extensive rust ABOVE the area of fork travel but getting very close.

dont know, but folks at classic bikes will ( uk magazine )
also, there is a shop beside amps in kyber pass who would be able to do it, but you would have to supply them with the bare forks and instructions.

you may need to discuss your finish with them.

Engine Components at Hamilton Airport. Average cost for a set of forks runs around $400 IIRC. So check on cost of replacement tubes (new or from wreckers) and then make the call... :)
