Hey guys
I've got an old suzuki gt50 and I'm trying to find tyres that will fit the damn thing. I can get the standard shitty tyres but I don't want to be sliding down the road too much!
does anyone know of resonable tyres that will fit (front) 17 x 2.5 and (rear) 17 x 2.75 rim sizes
Cheers guys!

that's the tyre sizes, the rim sizes will be 1.4"
Otherwise it's ask what a bikeshop can get in. Not much available in those sizes, used to be able to get Yoko110s in 2.75, but not for eons. My stinger takes those same sizes so I've laced on wider 1.6 & 1.85 rims so I can run larger tyres.
However whatever you get will be better than the std 1970s Inoue tyres that never seem to wear out (I think you can guess why). I thought the rear was 18" but there were a coupld of GT50s, some with spokes, some mags.

thanks for the info. the rear on this babys a 17. I know what you mean about the standard tires! I'm pretty sure the original tyres are on the damn thing.
Is there any guides to tell people what maximum tyre sizes can do on their rims?
cheers

Hey there ! There are some quite nice Continental tyres available in those sizes. They cost a bit more that the asian ones, but work very well.

Didn't realise you could get 22s that small. I ran them on the back of my road RG50, were fine (except at the track when you'd run off the tread, but hardly relevant on the road).
