Hi there,
I'm Mal from South Africa.
The instrument cluster on my old Beemer has bailed out and I'm scouring the globe for a replacment. There are plenty MPH units available in the US and UK, seems the KPH units are hard to come by.

Are there any specialist BMW used part dealers in NZ worth contacting before I'm forced to go back to the dark ages and fit a MPH speedo to keep the ol' girl running !!

See ya

hi,
maybe the BMW Owners Register can help: www.bmwor.org.nz
btw, you don't have to be a member of the Register to join the forum.
best of luck.

Mal, you'll need to identify the final drive the bike is fitted with, or else you'll probably end up with something you can't use because each speedo is matched to the FD ratio.

If you look at the FD housing just by the filler plug, you *should* see the ratio stamped into the housing and it'll look something like "3/11" or "34/10". There'll be a specific speedo to match it, identified by a number at the bottom of the speedo face.

Let me know what the numbers are, and I'll have a look for you. I have a stash of airhead parts . . . .
