**BIKE IS SOLD :)

Well folks just to let you know I might be making a decission on the bike shortly as someone is making me an offer I might concider. So if anyone is interested in making an offer let me know :) I've also lowered the price too.

So yeah I'm quite keen on a VTR1000 if anyone offers a trade or swap.

Cheers!

***price has been dropped to $7,000***

Cheers.

mind if I ask.... you don't seem to be riding the tires too close to the edge, why are you trading for a more sporty bike?

the Hornet is a very good all rounder :)

You cheeky bugga, theres nothingwrong with chicken strips...
i wouldn't call the Sv a more sporty bike, its pretty much on par with the
Hornet, just a horny sounding twin. Both can be a hell of lot of fun.
Right to the edge of the tyres......

I've got an addiction to V-Twins and just want a different bike to have now. The SV is more of a sports tourer like my hornet.

Who's got a nice big TV then?

How did you find the riding position on the SV? To low for my liking compared to the Hornet.

But if any of you have a SV and find it uncomfortable - well swap it for this Hornet

Unfortunatly haven't had the chance to ride an SV yet, dam work over-time is killing my weekends as well as the lack of Manawatu dealers who have have any SV1000s.

My flatemate does.

Have been looking on TM at your bike

Can you take closeup photos of scratches on tank and pipes

Have the baffles been removed ?
How much was it to be serviced?

Why the change to a VTR1000?
I do agree they sound great
(thats why I am looking at VTRs as well ...but you can get a newer Hornet for the same price)

Cheers

I will try to get some close up pics up soon. ( it was dark outside when I took those pics)

-Exhausts are untouched, still factory standard
-Had its 1st/second service
-Just had its 12,000 service today

I want to change to a VTR as I have thing for V-twins. I also got the Hornet because I wanted to tour the South Island which I have done. Now I want a nice loud fun bike to play with, hence why the VTR.

Yeah the SV does lack any visual appeal compared to the TL.

Yeah the SV does lack any visual appeal compared to the TL.

The looks are the least of the things the SV is lacking when compared to the TL, in my opinion.

Bugger all appears to be selling on Trademe and people are dropping prices quicker than a school boys trousers.

SV v TL - ah the debate continues...... I would be interested in a stock TL & SV (last models made of each) comparo. The SV progressively got tweaked during its life, Suzuki did a runner on the TL and made the softer SV. Did the last SV's have more power etc than the last TL?

Funny enough I was speaking to a salesman at a bike shop today and we talked about the TL's and SV's. Guy said the 07 SVs had more power then previous versions. The TL has a longer wheels base and said the rear tyre can drift a bit when cornering at high speed.

Still think a VTR is better then both.
