I want to take some photos of a model for a fashion company in the international terminal.

Anybody advise where to seek permission?

Most Airports will usually have a Managing company that controls the buildings and site... that would be who you have to contact I would say...

Normally yeah - just thinking with 'Increased security measures' in place and feds everywhere it might be better to send an email.

Ello Finn me ole mate........ok fella

Flights leave Hamilton to foriegn destinations therefore its an international airport............if you are saying that its to small to be one how about we line up Auckland against some real international airports.........Dubai for example, where on comparision Auckland airports location in south Auckland is well...........appropriate

lol (im being a prick)

You will need to get permission from Auckland International Airport (they have a PR department) and from whatever other agencies or businesses appear in shot.

If you want to shoot air side, you will need to get clearance from Civil Aviation and Airport Security. AIAL will be able to help you get those clearances.

Taa - Unfortunately the fees listed makes the location unattractive for a startup rag trader. Probably by design.

We'll sell her a few units first - then licence and light it properly - meantime I've got a studio booked and stockshots and photoshop are my friends.

Or a ship will do - can anyone here get the Queen Mary back?

Not the Queen Mary but the cruise ship season doesn't finish for another few weeks. If these are coming into Tauranga (http://portoftauranga.co.nz/Shipping-Information/Cruise-Schedules/) they're probably going near Auckland too.

How about one of the superyachts that are in the Viaduct Harbour? They might be a possibility. I guess it depends on the term "travel".
I was on Larry Ellison's ketch the other week. Veeery noice indeed.

It's not against the law to take anyones photo in a public place. Just do it.

Indeed - that was suggested by the client too.

The Airport isn't a public place.I think you will discover that it is.

Unless there are "members only" or "private property" signs or similar excluding members of the public then it is a public place. It doesn't matter whether it is against their policy or whatever - any member of the public is allowed to reasonably and legally conduct themselves there.

I have had this argument with the police before - I was trying to have a person removed from a "private" venue. It turns out that said person had every right to be there and I had no say in it, since there was no signs indicating otherwise, and it generally appeared that all other members of the public were perfectly welcome to enter so so where they.

Airports and ports are covered by other laws you will find DB, some areas are public areas, but others are covered by strink rules.

Since they are border controled areas.

I think you will discover that you are talking shit.

Of course its a private place - and you dont need signs.

Using your logic - I could walk into your house - after all you dont have a sign right?

Being a private place they have every right to ask you to stop - and indeed put a trespass notice on your ass - really fucken helpful being trespassed from the Airport.

Do you ever think before you type - or do you just think of the most ridiculous statement possible and type that?
