Greetings,
I'm going to manufacture a clock similar in concept to the Superbike clock I did for Mudboy's fundraiser.
This will be a major prize for the KAITOKE EASTER BUCKET MEETING.
I want it to be a generic bucket racer
Questions are...
2 or 4 stroke?
Beam type frame?
FXR150 based?
RWU or USD forks?
No fairing?
This is what that original clock looked like..
Delay making it, so you can base it on the winner's own bike?
Takes away the prizegiving opportunity, of course.

At least you already know the Chinese engine design to use :msn-wink:
Good idea for a prize as well.
Will there be a A and B grade version?

A & B,...?
hmmm dunno,...bit of CAD/CAM work for me to do 2 different ones.
Could be an idea.
A Loncin trophy though?
errr........

Here's a quick CAD mockup of a generic bucket I did tonight.
It's only half done, ie no wheel spokes or brakes etc, but you get the drift.

Why not use an old school bucket pic to base the design on instead of a new one? Seems more bucketish to me?

Cheers Saxet :)
Bikes like the old-school one are getting few and far between now.
Pamela is probably the best representative of that design.
USD forks on a bucket? Yup, quite a few have. Check out Fi5hy's, Sully60's, one of Skunk's...
I'm going to build a new frame this year eventually which will have USD's on it.

I used to race a bike very similar to my CAD pic back in 1993.
It had a hinge in the frame as far as handling went but was bloody fast !!!
And it was a Suzuki rotary valve single.....

I was seriously considering putting a set on the FXR before xmas. Probally the only reason it didnt happen is cause it was two much money to spend when I have working set of forks already attached:shit:

That one actually bears the closest resemblance to mine at the moment (shorty exhaust fitted):bleh:

More bucketish than what? Most bikes racing in Wellington have perimeter frames, even your Kamayamasuki thing!

You don't have a shit show down here unless you run USD's or an FXR:shifty:
Check sig pic.
Hey Nudey how hard would it be to take the image from a photo of someone on the day, simplify and use that?

Not difficult at all.
I mean to say, that "old school bucket" one is heavily based on a GP100 picture.

I just thought a prize such as this should have image representing the spirit of Bucketing.
maybe there could be a prize for the oldest bucket as well?
