Found this site stumbling around on the AVD site. Thats where another American pointed me towards this site, with his adventure ( the vet aka Pete). So if I turn out to be a pain in the ass member then...its his fault :shit:
Non typical American looking to do a 2 week tour sometime June-Aug..If it turns out to be everything I think it is I will be moving me and my business.:woohoo: Lock the gate!!
I have been doing a ton of research on TradeMe for real estate and then on to Google Earth Street view for the pictures. Funny thing about the Street View..a lot of the pictures show a cloudy sky..not sure why as my understating is hardly any rain down under :sunny:

Most of my bikes have been in the Kawi family..but the newest edition is from Honda..VTX1800 and a cruiser to boot :yawn: So far so good I am liking the V twin thing!

Some lovely pics you have there. :niceone: As for these clouds you speak of? Whoever gave you your info lied. It rains here. A lot. Not consistantly..more like 4 seasons in one day kinda rain. The further south you go the more consistant the weather tends to be.
Not that we mind so much. Gives us a chance to sit on KB and talk shit to each other.

Yes the good thing about NZ is that the weather doesn't change hugely between summer and winter, it's very possible to ride all year 'round.

Thanks for the welcome! Had another 6 inches since that last picture..enough already... need to put some miles on the bikes for sure.
Trying to sort out the details for the upcoming trip now. I guess it will be your winter..my summer.
I have already changed my initial plans to include more of the South Island than I originally planed for. Found some great deals on commercial property down there so far :woohoo:
