View Full Version : Nelson Bays: Boycott Nelson poker run, 14 March 2016

Well, here I was having a quiet one in my local. I looked up and saw a poster advertising the Nelson Poker run on the 14th March. Hmmm, I thought, sounds like a plan. Proceeds to charity etc etc.
Went a bit closer to read it. Usual list of local businesses sponsoring it - good job.
Then, halfway down the sponsors I saw it - Hells Angels Akld, Hells Angels Wanganui.
Guess what wankers, we dont need your baby murdering members as sponsors down here. Fuck off.
I urge all Nelson motorcyclists to boycott this event. If you dont, you're making these dorks feel like they are part of the community. They aint, and never will be.

I wonder how many people actually realise such clubs sponsor these events and if they did what their responses would be ie; like yours or not care?
Can't say I'm keen - did the gang thing YEARS ago and got over it.
Too contraversial these days for me - just as long as they are changing their focus like so many are being pressured to doing so.

The MCs are probably sniggering over a beer and thinking "Thanks for bringing the Poker Run to KB members attention."
Well done!!
Please provide a pdf attachment of said document. So those that want to attend can.

There's going to be an MC involved in any decent poker run. What the fuck do you expect?
Somebody has to keep the fuckwits that can't handle their piss in line on the day.
And point out innocent people to beat the shit out of to their prospects.....:oi-grr:
An employee who worked for my parents company was beaten to within an inch of his life by prospects, his mother told us at a work function that he went from being extremely intellegent, nearly finishing a university degree to stupid as shit, in one night (obviously not her exact words).
All because he was in the wrong place at the wrong time......(walking from one pub to the next in Tauranga)
He was so badly affected that he could'nt remember simple instructions, and in the end, my parents had to fire him, as he was costing the company too much with his mistakes.....they tried to accommodate him because they felt sorry him, but eventually it started costing too much.
Nicest guy I think iv'e ever met, I don't say that to try and have sympathy side with me he really probably is the nicest guy I know.
He is also skinny and small, polite, quiet, a good choice for a gang prospect eh? Shows how tough they are.....I wonder why they don't choose big black dudes to try and fight?
Gangs do cowardly faggotty arseholeish wankerish pathetic cuntface shit like this, so no, they should'nt be welcomed.

Hey... I know two people that have been beaten up in Tauranga. And one of them is in the same situation (may be the same guy), although he didn't have a uni degree (or part there of). So maybe that's two now with brain damage.
I wouldn't care if they just killed each other... But we have to put up with their crap.. that sucks!

Undoubtedly, this stuff is pretty regular really.....iv'e just finished a book called "girls in the gang" where they talk about gang life and goings on. (factual).
The prospects will have a person pointed out, and the prospect, to prove their "abilities" will have to fight them.......fucken cowardly and disgusting, but we will put up with it because if we don't people will grumble about how offenders have rights etcetc.

I'm going and I invite all you loudmouthed cowards to come along and air your opinions to those I'll be shaking hands with.
I won't be holding my breath though.
Just because the Hells Angels and their local associates hold a poker run once a year doesn't mean they've come to town to rape and pillage. It's a poker run, nothing more. Last years event was a ripper and with the weather forecast for Saturday I'll guess that the 09 one will be too.
IMHO the fact that the Mongrel Mob are setting up shop in Nelson (Toi Toi St I'm told) is more of a worry. If you clowns would pull your head out of your arses for five minutes and tag along on the poker run you might meet some like-minded citizens. Nelson has no room for the MM; the cops and other authorities won't be able to keep a lid on the fucks if they get set up and I can't recall the last time HA were in the papers for anything violent. With the MM it's almost daily.

This is the PM i got from 'Peasea'.
So, I guess Im a marked man now.
How unusual - a gang member/supporter chucking out veiled threats! :
Could you please tell me; which of the Hells Angels is a baby murderer. I'd dearly like to know.
Nelson's a small town and you have a distinctive bike. If I see it around I'll be sure to introduce myself.

Kiwis are getting sick of the gang shit.
Doesn't matter if you are Hells Angels, Mongrel mob, Black Power or Bill & Ben the flower pot men - as soon as you put on your 'patch', you're all tarred with the same brush.
My point was - why the hell does a Wanganui and Akld based gang feel the need to sponsor a ride in Nelson?
And please, dont make out that the Hells Angels are model citizens.

They come to Nelson because they were invited to sponsor the run and Nelsonians support the Spinal Unit run that the HA host in Auckland every December. I was one of them and even my daughter attended at one stop, she thought it was a great event.
I too am sick of all the gang shit and I'd like you to post a link to any recent trouble that the Hells Angels have been involved in. I doubt you'll be able to find one. However, Mongrel Mob thuggery goes on ad infinitum as does your factless, mindless rant.

thommo77 PM'd me and while I won't post his message to me I thought my response to him should be in the public domain. As a portion of this post is in response to comments unseen you will just have to use your noggin to pick up the thread, so to speak.
The HA's connection with the drug trade is well documented (Google it) and the last time I recall seeing anything in the mass media regarding assaults was actually in Wanganui. It turned out the HA's were set upon by a bunch of MM members, with bats etc, and the HA's sorted them out. The HA's didn't start it, they finished it. As for murders; I think you'll have to dig pretty deep to find any HA's connected with a murder in NZ in recent decades. (I could be wrong though....it's happened before.)
I'm not saying they're saints but to boycott a fund-raising poker run because the HA's sponsor it (they sponsor it remember, they don't milk it) is to deny the St Johns Ambulance valuable resources as they cop the proceeds, not the HA's. In reality, I can name some HA's who will be clocking up over 2,000kms (Auckland-Nelson-day trip-and return) to attend this poker run and all the expenses will be from their own, or possibly club, pockets. Either way, it's not a small amount of k's for a day run, is it?
When was the last time you rode 2,000kms to help raise funds for a worthy cause? I went to Auckland for their Spinal Unit run last December, where were you?
Now; if you're going to throw all M/C's into the 'gang' basket, what of the Lost Breed? Are they a bunch of baby-murdering thugs? I think not. Do you KNOW any of them? There are numerous M/C's out there who do not have gang-like tendancies. I've just named one, there's The Axe Throwers M/C in the Taranaki and let's not forget another in our own back yard; the Nelson Classic and Vintage MOTORCYCLE CLUB!!!
It's because of myopic, paranoid people such as you that the term 'Motorcycle Club' is having trouble dragging itself from the gang stereotype. M/C doesn't always mean 'gang'. Sure, it often does, that cannot be denied, but NOT always and not all M/C members are gangsters even if the club they belong to has been involved in wrongdoing in the past.
Many clubs now use the suffix S/C for 'Social Club'. They refrain from back patches but still get up to shennigans on and around motorcycles; like tearing around back roads on poker runs and gathering at club or public houses to drink beer and talk bikes. Hardly the actions of baby-murdering thugs...... More like the actions of like-minded people looking for a good time.
thommo77, get down to the Turf on Saturday, even if you walk or take the car so that I can't "threaten" you when I spot your Kwaka, and mill around the bikers. Then get back this thread and make some honest comments about how things went.

Fair enough.
Peasea - You've made some valid points.
I'll admit, perhaps I went off a bit half-cocked and lumped the Hells Angels in with the others too readily.
For that, I apologise if I offended anyone and/or made accusations that are false.
I guess that, ultimately, it is a charity ride and for that I hope plenty of $'s are raised.

Before the event, there had been calls from the online motorcycle community to boycott it because of the involvement of the Hell's Angels.

Mr McGurk said there was a possibility that this had an effect, as this year there were fewer participants who were not patched gang members
I was there this year and last year and I would dispute that.
Without actually counting them I'd say there were a couple of dozen HA patches, two Headhunters and four Red Devils. Around the thirty mark all up and with approximately 250 registered participants, plus hangers-on, it was an easy 300 bods. Last year I think there were only four of five HA patches and because numbers were well up this year I'd say the ratio was about the same in reality.
I really think McGurk has that one wrong.

No way would he admit that there were hundreds of ppl there that had a bloody good time, jappa riders mingling with the Angels, H/hunters all talking shit and slappin one another on the back !
No children being murdered, women being dragged off by the hair and raped
No different than a Kb ralley would be haha ok so it would be slightly different but thats all good !

I'm sorry, normally i'd leave alone but Stigma ?
Are you saying if someone were to ride with a GANG in a fundraiser like that one, there will be STIGMA = a. a mark of disgrace or infamy; a stain or reproach, as on one's reputation.
Or STIGMA = b. a place or point on the skin that bleeds during certain mental states, as in hysteria.
Burtha
17th March 2009, 14:50
Yes, stigma a).
And if you fall off your bike in doing so, then possibly a bit of b) also !

What planet do you live on again?
You've just described the exact behaviour of most gang members ( murderers, rapists,Paedophiles, police killers, innocent people assaulters for fun, shits and giggles) that they have kids with woman who simply spit em out for profit doesn't seem to phase you either.
Most ordinary hard working people, even a goodly number of our unemployed manage to live within their means, don't find it necessary to booze it up every day, drive drunk, rape their neighbours wives or kids and spend money at a rate which could never approach what they earn legitimately.
So go put yer head back up your arse and smell the roses.
The STIGMA is well earned and very real, don't try telling those of us old enough to know better, that we don't know, what we do know!
