I am selling my 1996 Honda CB750, available from the 23rd of March in Christchurch!

Sweet bike, very easy to ride - first full powered bike I have used after passing my test (used to ride a Honda Super 400cc) and I can't recommend it highly enough. Very reliable and known for it's low maintenance needs. Perfect for touring both islands on, starts every time and is legendary for its dependability. Look at some reviews here:

http://www.reviewcentre.com/reviews170745.html

It has 66,000km on the clock, maroon coloured 747cc, DOHC, 4 valves p/cylinder 75HP@8500 rpm. It's been very well looked after since it was serviced and put through WOF on 27.2.08.

$4,500 Includes:

- Registration
- Balance of Warranty of Fitness (WOF - 5 months)
- Balance of 3 month mechanical warranty (2 months remaining)
- Scott Oiler (oils the chain automatically so you don't have to)
- Oxford Panniers (pictured) - integrated waterproof covers
- Heated grips
- 2 x security locks (front and rear) inc. mountings
- 2 x cargo nets
- 4 x Bungee cords
- Map of NZ - North and South Islands, big and detailed

Optional for NZ$250 extra:

expandable oxford tank top bag (18-26cm height, L44 W33)
Helmet - 4 weeks old, not dropped or scratched, M or S size. Black or Blue Tint.

Please email me if interested and I can arrange to meet. Looking to sell via cash, banker's draft or bank transfer. Adding photos as soon as I find somewhere to download them for me!

Hi Tim, good luck with the sale mate & welcome to the site :niceone:

Just a quicky....about your handle....not sure if you were aware but doesn't have to be an email address, you can make up any name you like :niceone:

You may be able to amend this by PM'ing a mod who may be able to change it for you?

I will vouch for the CB750.
Mine is a '92 and I have done the length of the NZ a couple of times on it.
Can sit at highway speed all day ( have done for several days running) quite happily.

Hope your sale goes well.
What are you replacing it with????

I've seen and heard this bike and it's really nice. Sounds and looks great and the luggage is mint. They stayed here for a night and I was most impressed.

Good luck with the sale. Very underated machines.

Welcome to KB.

Just a small point- that review in the first post is of a sohc CB750 K6 not the '90s DOHC CB750 with hydraulic valve lifters(RC42-NightHawk in some countries) with the engine derived from the CBX750/CB700. Great resourse here- http://www.teamrc17.net/

Found this on one bloggers website from last December:

"Guys, I’m going crazy. It’s 10 degrees Celsius below freezing, and furthermore we have that “white shit” all over. Seems like a good time for a trip to Australia - summer started there.

PS: not sure about you, but I make repeated obsession trips to the garage, where, guess what… from a Hayabusa, Honda CBF 600, Yamaha TNR and Bandit 400, my old faitfull CB750 Nighthawk is the only one starting! Not bad for a ‘93!"
