Your positive is shorting against the frame somewhere...
I have had the exact same happen... on mine it was the plate holding the battery down...it had rubbed the sleeving off the positive cable... and was then shorting between the two, that is quite common...
start there first.... then check down by starter motor... it will only be to do with the starter motor shorting out if you replace the fuse and all is fine until you hit the start button....
If it does it as soon as you turn the key on it is not shorting out at the starter motor....
But, it could be where the main positive lead to the battery joins to the start relay. But that is usually where the 30 amp fuse is usually there you should have already spotted it...
Hope that helps ya somewhat mate.
EDIT: HANGGG onnn....
Thats ya immobilazor throwing a wacky dude... disconenct it ( probably not just unplug it because it will be wired into the kill switches etc... is this immobilizer also a remote start alarm? those can cause the kind of problems of firing up without ignition on etc because they bypass it to start the bike...
Has this problem just started or have you bought the bike like this?

Thanks for quick reply skidmark.
no prob started yesterday, took the exhaust of to reseal joint as was blowing,
then went to recharge battery put connections wrong way round DOH! :stupid: but charger told me so swap them put a bit of charge in then bike started but no ignition lights, didnt think anything of it then come to start later nothing checked fuses then found 30amp had blown, on further inspection someone has put a 30amp link on the battery lead to brown wire where original 30 amp is located.
cheers
