Soooo, who is committed to doing the full winter series this year? What class? What are your goals?
Who is new and giving it a go? Any more women giving it a go this year?
How many of you are doing this on the smell of an oily rag? (that is, no sponsors?)
Who travels the most to attend?

I'm a starter this year ! Just be a clubmans hoon till if/when i get chucked out of there and then become passing practise for the F1 boys !
Like to take this time to thank my sponsors ...........
Also like to thank McK, woodstock, JimBeam for providing the pain relief
The Bitch for keeping me company during those long treks up to the taupo trackdays for all the practise sessions
And of course Heidi, for keeping the dog company while i'm on the track, keeping note of my laptimes with the timing device i don't use, going without food, power, new wardrobe, tampons etc etc so she can afford to keep me in the lifestyle i enjoy !
Not to forget of course the lord above, for without him i would have no name to cry out during those moments on the track !

I'll be with Moto-Academy this year again. Riding in the 125GP class. Going for gold :shifty:.
Also have put my hand up to help out the Streetstock Crew :). As some sort of payment to the Vic-Club for supporting me with a scholarship in 2007 to get me racing :).
Realistic Goals for the year are
Break in to the 16's in the vic series.
Succesfully help out the Newer riders in Both Moto-Academy and Streetstock.
Have a good consistent season.
Learn more about the sport.
Get a top spot in the championship, and some solid training for nationals.
Cheers

Well done Rachprice for getting out there and giving the streetstock class a go this year. I wish you well for the series and I hope that you enjoy your racing with us.
And to all the other New Commers who are going to give this great Sport a go this year, I wish you well and I hope that you enjoy your 1st taste of Motorcycle Racing with us. Its always a pleasure to meet New Riders and to follow their racing thru out the season. Goodluck everyone and enjoy the experience.

I'm making plans to have another assault on the Streetstock series. (still got plenty to learn).
For this to happen, I need to find a motor for my KR150, so please keep an ear out everyone, and tell me if you know of a crashed KR anywhere.
Another option is leasing a RG150 for the series if anyone has a spare one?
See you out there.

My goals are to break into the 1.15's at short track Manfeild, and retain 3rd place in pro twins or better.
I am hoping my current sponsors will again help me out through 2009/2010.

If miraculously work picks up or someone donates some coin I'd like to do the whole series.
Goal this year would be to finish top 3 in F1 and break into the 1.09's.
Any donations to help with goal would be greatly appreciated and layed down on the track in the form of rubber:2thumbsup

oh...and to learn to ride in the wet half decently.
..and beat Chris Fry when he doesn't fall off
...and not crash
....and embarass some F2 riders
....and not spend too much money
.....and have lots of fun

i'll be there with bells on for my third full winter series.....
F3 and post classic assault again i think.... as long as its not too much more to cross enter... traveling from the 'naki now so no more 7 hour long hauls to/from aucks :)
my goals are simple: to have fun.. aim for a top 10 overall like last year in both classes... and always, help promote my sponsors who are the awesome people who make this racing thing happen for me (see my sig!)

For all of those who are contemplating on racing with the Vic Club in this years Actrix Winter Series if you log onto our website www.vicclub.co.nz you will find all the dates and the track lengths we are using this year.
Also Vic Club memberships run out on the 31 March 2009 and renewals are from April 1 2009 until March 31 2010 and you can print them off the site and all details are on the form so I look forward to receiving your renewal/new membership form from all of you out there who are going to remain as members of the Vic Club and also to those who are going to be joining our club for the very first time.

Good to see that there are some very keen riders out there who are wanting to compete in our series and that most of you have great positive attitudes about doing so.
Lets hope that these tough times we are all going through will soon come to an end and that those of you out there who can't afford to race in this series can still manage to come along to the racing and support those who can.
I look forward to seeing you all there regardless of whether you are out on the track giving 100% or behind the wall cheering on those out there who will be no doubt giving you some very close and exciting racing throughout the season to watch. See you there!!!!!!!!!

I'll be there, not sure if i'll have a bike to ride yet, Will be putting Garry my mechanic/brolly dolly from last winter series onto the RG150 to give him a crack and see how he does, still have good support from Fivestar Suzuki, Doohan Racing and EVL customs.
i have a MC21 NSR250 im trying to re-build, looks like i'll need to get some pistons from overseas if i want to ride it, apart from that it's all good to go.
so unless i finish the bike or can strike a deal with someone on a bike for the season i'll be taking a turn at spannering and coaching garry as best i can

Word from the top is that you can hokey tokey all you want in motards. We are also doing the sums to see if it is worth running an S1 and S2 championship in the same race. What do the motard boys think? Might need a seperate thread as would be good to get feedback on whether the chook chasers want to use the full track or stick with the reverse short circuit at manfield?

personally I think that the S1 and S2 should run together but as a seperate championship as you suggested, we generally always race together so thats sweet, I like the idea of the short reverse track however only if we get enough laps to make it worth it, ie if everyone on the full track gets 6 laps of the full track and the motards get 6 laps of the short reverse track I dont think that is fair, our actual track time is tiny, I cant recall the time per lap on the short track but total time should equate the total time in the other classes......I mean we pay the same eh

You may have attracted the attention of certain club comittee members who are also members on KB , but to ask the club properly you really should address it directly to the club and then it can be talked over in the way the question deserves..... thoroughly. Then you , and others wondering the same will be informed of the outcome.
The VMCC does not run KB, but it does run a very very good race series.
To get a good answer to a question , ask who can answer it.
(No im not saying Clive cant or is unqualified to answer it. )
My 2 cents worth.

Good point Paul. I treat these online queries like questions that might come up at a polite dinner party where motorcyclist of refined manners and taste congregate. I will give the best answer I can, but it is my answer not the club committee answer. 9/10 I even get it close to right.

This is the best way to get your questions answered and any issues you have discussed between the committee members.
