Made it the last 7 years. Anything that supports such an important cause deserves our support.

1st time last year.

Can already feel the initial throes of "cough" the flu "cough" coming over me now. For some apparent reason it seems to come to a head on the exact same day that the Hamilton - Cambridge run is on and also when I'm usually rostered to work. Coincidence? I think SO!! Will definitely be laid up with the flu come next Sunday. <_<

That's the idea. The more the merrier. Close to 1000 bikes I think.

Bring a small toy,buy a badge or make a donation. Run Proceeds go to kids with cancer.Ride leaves from Cambridge and heads in convoy to Hamilton.

I think it's on the 12th. check out the coming events in any local mag.

Just head down to Cambridge and look for all the bikes. Sorry, can't remember the time off hand but it'll be around 11am I'd guess.

The speed limit for the toy run is 80kph and it dont matter if you have a fast bike or a slow bike, just get on the bike grab a toy and have fun. :niceone:

When? the 13 march. It's run by the Hamilton Ulysees club. You dont need to sign up you just need to turn up lol. They meet in Cambridge around about 10:30am on the 13th and roll out from there. :niceone:

I'll go - it'll be a Kiwi Rider gig. I'll have my 'media shirt' on again.
(You guys have now idea how pretentious I sound when I say 'media shirt' out loud)
Usually too busy snapping pics and running about for a long conversation - but I do try and say g'day to all in KB colours.
I know the roller and rib and crash and a few more by sight now.

I'll be there for the first time in 3 years, with Liz and Roger.

I've done it two up on an Suzuki A100 before, there's so many bikes a lot of it is done at around 50km/h or less. Turn up around 9-10 so you can check out the other bikes. If you head into the middle of Cambridge you really won't be able to miss it.

Ah, G'day Eddie. Shoulda guessed you'd be on here. Kinda surprised Liz and Roger aren't (unless they are and I just haven't sussed them out from their posts, bikes, handles etc, yet.)

Sounds like a plan, maybe we can meet either before we start or afterwards.

Can someone tell me where Cambridge is? I'm still a newbie to the country and not too sure where everything is. I know Hamilton is south of Auckland, but that's about it.

Are there a couple of KBers that have room on the back of their bikes for a couple of pillions?

Strayjuliet and I would love to go but have no ride. We can chip in for gas and supply our own toys, food etc.

Would hate to miss it again this year and can't afford to hire a bike for the day.

Unless you're deaf, blind and totally oblivious to the fact you've just hit a large group of 'bikes - in which case, you'd be a cager.

There's a BP at most towns though if one meets at any other than the one in Cambridge I guess they will be doing some other ride. The BP is on the left coming from Hamilton then all of us can get togetherhttp://www.smileymania.at/Engel-Teufel/smileymania.at_15344.gif

I am keen to potter along as it was a great turnout last year albeit a very long day. If you North Shore guys keen maybe we could hook up at Holeshot (where Cycletreads used to be) and head down together. Will just have to check how long it will take to get there to sort out a time to meet.

You keen?

Any KBers out there can give us an idea how long it will take to meet up, potter down and hook up with HR for 10am?

Hm... It was on the way to Cambridge for the toy run last year that I had my close encounter with a SH22 ditch. Ended up giving my toy to the ambulance driver...
But I'll definitely make it this year. Anyone want to come with me down 22??

MadDuck
3rd March 2005, 21:54
Yeah I remember that one MikeL. I be keen to do 22 on the way down but just need a time to meet you at (say) Papukura to make it viable for meeting HR. Given that I ride like a nana
