Hey guys,

the names Baden, living in Porirua . Just became the owner of a 1996 honda hornet 250. First time on a bike since being nailed by a drink driver in 2006 which put me off bikes for a fair while! :) enough of the sob story! Look forward to seeing you guys around wellington and so forth! will no doubt pop up time to time with some questions :). Also have a large collection of vintage motorcycles in the family dating back as far as 1915 (Royal Enfeild) up to 1955 (AJS).

Looking forward to getting to know you all! :)

Baden, welcome to our little comunity. Good choice of first bike, nice styling and good performer.

If I can give you one piece of advice, I'd tell you to change your login name and never mention what you do for a living again on this website.

thanks for the welcome guys :)!

So far the hornet is giving afew teething issues, but expected that for the price i paid. Has a low end miss more so when its cold, and gradually gets better when it warms up :) sounds like its coughing when your off the gas, so will be going in for a service sooner rather than later, any of you wellington folk recommend a place to take it into? :) was looking at richards motorcycles in Johnsonville.

Cheers!

Richard's always been good to me, however if you're in a hurry for it I would ring and ask how long first (I was told a 4 week wait for a repair I needed doing a few weeks ago) Boyles are good to deal with also, otherwise if you want it done fast and well take it to Wellington MC.

I'm a mechanic's slut and get work done all over the place. I've had excellent work done at Richard's.

Not sure about a thread but what I did was create an album in my personal page, then just started a thread like Milan 08 photo gallery, gave directions to it...and lots had a look.

Look forward to it.

Hi Baden and welcome to KB.

There is a big Hornet Fan Club on here, so you will be among friends of the 2-wheel variety quite quickly!

Hello amboperson. Welcome to this site. White trash already mentioned it but please, believe him and me. You need to change your login name and not mention being an ambo on here.
Trust me, I dont have 11 posts to my name with 14,415 rep points for nothing.

Thanks for that toot and white, where do i go about changing my login name, or is there a set person i need to message in order to get it done :).

On the bike side of things, its booked into Richards next Thursday :). yes porta there is a volly side to the ambo side of things in wellington, they are a key part of the service :)

Really??? So why are they slowly but surely being minimalised? I think it is fair to say that they were a key part of the service, but as funding allows their 'keyness' is becoming redundant and they will one day become extinct.

Newkid, you should probably know that having a name that rhymes with naked can get you in all kinds of shit around here. Exhaustive research has indicated that names that rhyme with genitalia tend to be the safest option. My apolgies for not pointing this out earlier.:msn-wink:

Not the place to discuss it, however I'll make a quick point.

Why anybody should be threatened with their job simply because of comments made on a public forum is beyond me. Quite frankly, it disgusts me. This is the type of nanny state this country is becoming, employers telling people what they can and can't think on the OFF chance some absolute fucking clown associates a personal oppinion with the companys position.

Rant over.

Like the name newkid.

Unfortunately it does happen. I have had comments I have made on here quoted in a court case.

The world's gone fucking mad. Somebody must realise that if we wanted to be taken seriously we wouldn't have names like Madduck, White Trash. Mind you, I did have a ministry of health wallah track me down via google. Her second or third sentence to me once she got my phone number was "So Clivoris, what's this about being a honda fag and getting beaten by a girl?". I'm scared to google myself.
