How long did he leave it WOT? If it wasn't toast when the first thing let go, he definately pushed the lever down and wound the dial around just to make sure.

What can I say......... Wow, that's impresive, sort of went the same way my marriages did!!!!!!!
To tell you the truth, there was no warning. The engine was going better than it ever had before, then crunch - tinkle tinkle tinkle............. Pulled the clutch in straight away and that's the damage.
It did have a lot higher compression than standard 12.5:1 but nothing explains that kind of damage....... Just as well it cost you stuff all Bren!!!! I had thought there might be some usable bits but........

Of course there are. There's a perfectly good Woodruffe key in there. And I an see what looks like an almost pristine washer.

We've got another stock engine that we're running, will be giving it a good caning this weekend.
Won't be doing any more mods until I can get a spare engine. Got one lined up, just need some folding..................
I've allready got another piston, pin and ring set.... Need a Rod kit which I'll get crack tested and then peened and some Cams.....
Working on the EFI at the mo' but running out of money (bloody recession, bad timing, was just about to get the EFI FXR running........)
