I offer my congratulations to Sam as well, much like Karl Morgan in last years Pro Twins ( its inception year ) Sam was the class act of the field.
As for the lap records, I take nothing away from Sam but he had a much better machine under him than Karl.
Sams bike has a twin tube shock which delivers improved feel, adjustability and edge grip over a more conventional single tube displacement damper. But the biggest difference was the front end. Karls bike only had progressive springs fitted ( no damping mods ) and god only knows why given that in racing circles progressive spprings are discredited technology. Sam used the rules to maximum advantage by using emulators that address the main problem with damper rod forks, abysmal damping control and even more abysmal brake dive resistance. These were mated to Traxxion Dynamics damper rods which unlike the standard rods actually sit straight in the forks and on the same centreline as the main tubes! They also then seal a whole load better and deliver consistent damping control.
I would stick my kneck out and say that Karls and Sams abilities are roughly similiar. If you had both of their respective championship winning bikes side by side and they both did laps on them it would be a no brainer which bike would lap faster.
But I am at pains to point out that Sams ability and dedication is clearly obvious and I wish him well for the future.

No comment here .... Only advise I would give is for anyone that wants to have a competitive edge in ProTwin to go a get a suspension package from Robert.
Well done Sam! Great riding and team. Best presented pit and bike also.

Horay for Sam! Pleasing that someone still young enough to wear his cap back-to-front can win a NZ title.
Just a pity there weren't 10 Sam Love's out there doing the class proud.

Go the gingas
Yes, well, now that it has been raised, it must be said that Gingas are extremely well suited to motorbike racing.
Any helmet-on activity, in fact .

ya thanks mate. it was awesome battling with you this season. as for taking the class up a level you have definately set the bench mark for riding skill and overall presentation, something that will be a hard act to follow. all the best for next season and if your still in pro twin please only use 1st gear :scooter:

Shaun, Patch is not rich you know and you were meant to do it in the GP, not the race before. However, as it turned out he didn't need that kind of assistance.....
