Had to say it, yes on a rally we all expect some one to make lots of noise as most people are trying to snooze.
Some of us even think that it is ok for someone to yell and swear at the top of their lungs at 4:00am but why would you start your bike from cold and hold it on the redline limiter for five minutes???
Do they hate their bike that much, maybe they should buy a bike that they like, and not try and kill of the one they obviously dont like.
(side-note.... same goes for the abusive language towards their partner, maybe their partner should find someone who likes them:bash:)
And yes these guys were KBers.
I'm all for fun but hey wouldnt ,say, an airhorn in a can be cheaper in the long run???

Never heard any KBer wringing the neck of their bike in the early hours at the March Hare.

Can't say the same about the swearing and 'conversations' near Camp KB though...but ear-plugs in helped that.:zzzz:

there was one of them at the burt rally in 07. cept he chose to do a burn out, on a borrowed rugby feild, at like 6am. most people had only just staggered to bed, with many others still up from the day before, LOL. needless to say... he got yelled at from all sides.

he hated the bike so much, the back tyre dug its own grave.

Can't be a Harley - it would explode :calm:

Can't be a Honda - nice Honda owners would not do that :calm:

Can't be a Euro bike - their electrics don't work at 4.00am :calm:

Can't be a BMW - they would have retired to a swanky motel at 1.00 :calm:

GSXR owners..............

So I'm guessing there wasn't a lot of smoke.

Wasn't at the Hare but same thing happens at the Cold Kiwi. One will start up at one end of the site then another from the other end. Duelling cold engines on the limiter! :jerry:

I'd rather hear them than have to endure hours of listening to one of the neighbors moaning and screaming, having dragged a stray back to her tent.

If there was anything that happened around KB central in this regard you've bloody good hearing as the only family melt down that occurred was at the bottom end the arena and was the topic of conversation in that area the following morning as the female in the equation attempted to take off on her bike and the argument that followed involved a few people

At least when yer doris is a screamer the outside noise drowns it out.;)

Now in the first light of day the silence tends not to help at all.....
