Well two weekends ago, on 1st March, zeocen caught up with his good friend Britex from Aussie way (he's a Texan ... only two things from Texas ... steers and queers!)
Anyway, Britex hired a Beemer to ride the Coro with and zeo asked me to accompany him on the ride to meet up!
Turns out that Britex rode on ahead when we were at Kaiaua! Anyhow, it was a touch and go thing - I couldn't make it at first, but the biker gods smiled upon me and I was free to go. I contacted zeo who wasn't about to go either! :gob:
So I hauled him out, got gas and we rode to Kaiaua quick as you please. By this stage zeo's dad on his bike met us up just out of Miranda and we all rode to their bach in Whangamata to try and catch Britex on his downward leg from Tairua.
The ride was good, but the wait at the bach was so long, I could have ridden the Coro myself! :weep: :crybaby:
Got a feed for lunch from the bakery (pies om nom nom) and had a wee nap. By that stage Britex was waiting for us at Kopu fish and chipperies!
So, a quick pootle out and we take him back via the long way to Auckland central! :innocent: His missus was a wee bit hungry by the time we got him home :o Sorry about that!
Was great meeting you Britex! Pity we didn't have more time to ride some good roads together! :slap:
Pic 1 : T bird and Mustang at the BP ... good sign ... meeting an American and some yank tanks there!
Pic 2 - 3 : The nebulous zeocen doing his arcane thing.
Pic 4 - 5 : A stop to see where Britex is ... texts and phone calls not withstanding!
