It was certainly a tough championship and Tim rode with his head towards the end after building a good points buffer in the early rounds. It was really sad to see Avalon crash out at Puke as she was really flying...gotta sort out some more HP/speed from somewhere or Tim needs to get some size reduction surgery!

Thanks for positive comments and thanks to all the supporters:

Thanks Brad and all the others that have said positive things on this thread.

The fact that I actually won is still sinking in! but I'm absolutely stoked!

of course I'd like to thank all my sponsors that Kev named.... but I'd also like to thank Kev a lot! he worked so hard on my bike because of how fussy I am with it, and spent a lot of his time etc on making improvements to the bike... Thanks Kev!

oh and You're the man Glen! I'm pleased to see how well you did at pukie on your very first time there!

And congrats too for the South island 150 programme. In this years championship 9 of the first 11 have been partly or fully developed in this programme before going into 125 GP.

No just imagine if the rest of the country rolled it's sleeves and met it sporting responsibilites of developing youth as the South has done. It's the only hope we have of preventing roadracing in NZ decay (further) away into a scene of clubmans, classics and motards for old riders. This is the growth
in the North, which by age and expertise is taking them backwards.
At the the Road Racing workshop at the MNZ AGM in Nelson the strongest vote was for youth development in Road Racing. Why has the north done nothing?

Oh, and Tim you ancient old thing you, those young ones nipping at your heels this year will be back, it WILL be tough!
