'Hampton Downs - midway between Auckland and Hamilton - confirmed on Tuesday it intended to be open for business from June and have its international circuit completed by September.'
so not to far away from being ready really. june.

It'll be interesting to see if it actually gets built.... they stopped construction work to the track because they were so far in debt... :laugh: The managers wanted payment and they couldn't give it to them. I certainly don't think they'll be making their deadlines at any rate. :)

I hope they do, but I'm more interested in riding the track at the moment!! :scooter:

Not sure where you heard that. Construction is proceeding and they're on track for June. This from track management.

Secondly, what the article actually says is that *IF* NZ retains the A1GP round, it would be most likely run at Hampton Downs.
The GP contract with NZ has expired. If it is renewed, it'll be hampton.

Does that mean they don't need the resin sitting atop all the patch joints ? I'd be happy to come up with my geny, grinder and start cuttin it out !

60 days from laying the tarmac, the track will be used.
So they've got till the start of april really to start laying.

Passed by in the track in my cage this afternoon, the dump smell was bad.
