Must be about time for another tattoo thread?

(I suppose if not then it will be merged with one of the older ones)

Anyhow, 3 hour session today, a heap of colouring, a heap of shading, I reckon its looking mean as.

Work done by Nick at Flamin Art Wanganui.

This is my only tattoo. Courtesy of 'The Rock'. Got 2 tickets to the Foo Fighters in 2005 an took my eldest son to his first concert. Awesome! Love your Eddie Tat! Did you go to the concert?

Looks awesome. Not many good looking Eddie tattoos around, that's certainly one of the great ones.

Nice to pick the same one as the 12' Eddie that was on stage too!

I'm stoked by how well its turning out, He says another 2 hours to finish it, Which means a shit load more detail and highlighting. Pity I can't see the damn thing unless I get the wife to take a photo of it. Those red veins on the chest are crazy, I'm hoping there is going to be more of them.

The tattoo for Foo Fighter tickets is sweet, Something like that is always going to bring back the memory's of the time.

Which is sort of why I booked in my Maiden tatt the day they announced the show, waited all my life to see them do what they do.

Then I got boozed and its all a blur, lmfao, I was right up the front, Had a blast, But I'd like to see them again and stand back and watch.

Video I shot.

Got mine in my photo albums.

More to come, but I only get ones that I've sat on for a long time and are symbolic or literal reminders of what is important to me in life.

GF has most of her back done in a traditional family tamoko

Damn, that is some nice work!!!! Well done Headbanger...

Would you mind terribly flicking me a PM with how much the artist charges per hour please?

I've been on the look out for a real good one in Auckland, but have been put off either by the work or how much they can charge.

I mean, I understand one pays for what one gets, but some around here are just downright daylight robbers.

I'm still trying to decide what to get.
I think I've narrowed it down to 2 choices though...
A Guzzi eagle
or
A Japanese maple leaf (this being the tree on my father's plot).

hmmm,..dunno.

That Eddie tatt is sweet as! I've got the rest of my backpiece in development, but as long as I have to keep throwing money at the Kwaka then the tattoo will have to wait... :(

 Actually I can believe it, some tattooists I have met, I would be very afraid of getting drunk around.
My eldest brother has a motor tattooed on his shoulder blade and its backwards...He didn't notice for ages cause when he looked in the mirror at it (the only way he could see it) it was around the right way. He was my mothers poster child for why I should not get tattooed. Thankfully I am not easily scared.

Phil from Ponsonby RIP - it won best arm some years ago and he was very proud of it. He also did my other arm in the same theme but I can't find a pic.

There are some really good old type NZ fauna books at libraries etc, ones that artists have done the illustrations- they are good for inspiration.

Cheers for that.

Some folks are a bit funny about discussing how much they spend on their ink, so i thought I'd be diplomatic.

I guess I forgot I was talking to you eh! :p
