Now I live in Invercargill and I know there is nothing north of Balclutha.

Around Gibralter is about as far from Auckland as you can get. So Brussels is further than Amsterdam from Auckland, as is any place closer to Gibralter than Brussels.

Of course if we take travelling distance into account...I reckon I take the cake...I fly Queenstown Auckland LA London...thats near 1/2 way, then fly another 1/4 way, 10 hours flying, 6 hours time zones, further East to Bishkek/Kyrgyz republic.
