It is I am afraid.

Anyone who have any experiences they would care to share regarding these tyres:

Bridgestone RE001
Goodyear Eagle F1 - New asymmetric model

So far I have been running the slightly older Goodyear F1 GSD3s and have been quite happy with them. Good grip, especially in the wet. Unfortunately they wear a bit funny when fitted to the Legacy - the inside shoulder on the rear tyres wear quite badly and if the wheel alignment comes out of spec the front tyres are gone in a jiffy. As a result it's very difficult to use up all of the rubber, which is of course a shame since rubber isn't that cheap.

Any real-life experiences from the diverse kiwi roads would be appreciated.

Cheers.

I have a mate who had the GS-D3's, and is now on the assymetrics and thinks they're great. I too had GS-D3's on my old VR4 and you really did have to keep an eye on them because of what you mentioned. I dont think that's a problem with the assymetrics.

Bridgestone Adrenalins would do the job too.
