An email i just recieved !
These tires are airless and are scheduled to be out On the market very soon.
The bad news for law enforcement is that spike strips will not work on these.
Just think of the impact on existing technology:
A. No more air valves...
B. No more air compressors at gas stations...
C. No more repair kits...
D. No more flats...
These are actual pictures taken in the South Carolina Plant of Michelin.

The ability of a tyre to deflect 'police spikes' is off the radar for most of us :weird:

I seriously doubt that they will ever come into normal production and use

Normally motor-sports is the proving ground for such new technology, and I haven't seen this in motor-sports at all

We'll see!

...It'd be interesting to see how they work on a bike. Could you trust them while leaned over?

Couldn't see it being feasible for bikes ! Unless they come up with a near solid tyre !

True! I saw similar (if not the exact same) pictures over 3 years ago and haven't heard anything since... 'till now.

Probably production costs too high
