Well, what can I say?

I thought I wasn't gonna have a bike to ride at all, then that fantastic bastard Ed, tells me of his bad luck with his raffle, and I can use his bike like we'd spoken about months ago. FARK ME what a good cunt!!!

Organise to get it here and a couple other reports will tell of that cock up...

Fire it up Saturday with heart in throat, given the bike is well outside of it's element. The sighting laps show the bike can do this easy asnd my spirits climb.

Throughout the day it becomes fairly clear I am on such superior machine, that I'm not gonna need to risk anything to take the win, and I resolve to take a grown up approach and not do anything silly.

First run Sunday and I lead by quite a bit, people are ribbing me a bit that I was six seconds quicker on the Ducati last year, who gives a fuck? I'm on a mates bike, and look at my last season to see why I obviously need to revise my strategy, I think to myself.

Couple more runs and I decide to sit one out, thinking the pretty shredded rear tyre has a quick run left in it, and I'll save that till last.

Take off for the last run with some gusto and cock up turn one epic, I'd decided the easiest way to drop some time safely was to get on the gas a bit earlier from the turns, I was wrong about that tyre and although I had some fun slides, I clearly needed to make up time mid corner. Long story short I dropped a second to go 2.15.8**.

A great weekend for sure, massive thanks to Eddy for reasons obvious, Steve for almost getting the bike there, Shane for keeping him company on the trip.

My new sponsors, Aztech engineering, and Lamon (sp) catering, not many folk get a second chance, and I am so blown away with your generosiy and faith. Crazyfox for the paint job to be, I really appreciate the your support, and how you were so happy to hear I was racing again, it means a lot to me. Here's to a fantastic upcoming season.

My new team mate Allan, where to begin?.. You're a legend mate, taking deans trailer over for me, all your help, just unreal. Few people give without thought man, and you do it EVERY time, words fail me. Cant wait for the Vic series, we gonna have a ball.

My awesome girlfriend Rach, I cant even think how to explain it. So laid back, and ready to help however you can. You're a calming force I know I can rely on, and I was often seen grinning in your direction, just contemplating how lucky I am. Thanks for coming and believing in me, I'm glad I didn't dissapoint.

The organisers of course, such a cool event.

One more thanks, KTL bikes, really appreciate that $500 cheque and the trophies.

Watch this space mate, I dont wanna jinx anything before it's a done deal.

But worst case scenario I'll be out there post classics style, on a very improved war pig.

You were in such a relaxed space and riding smart Drew. Might take a bit of getting used to:Pokey:
Congratulations on the win. Did you miss having the tension of being pushed harder by another competitor?

The excitement of being pushed is what I think racing is all about, so yeah, I did miss it.

Jay and myself are already smack talking to the baddest about next year, he wants to bring a litre bike, so the record will be smashed to bits when I smoke him six ways from Sunday.

Thanks luv, I hear I'm getting a bit stick for being relaxed, it seems I'm damned if I do...

Had a blast though, and really enjoyed you coming back down the hill and beaming from ear to ear the whole time.

Lets not say anything we cant take back bro, I'm sure the rubber side will go wrong way up at some point, I intend not to speed that eventuality up by being a hero is all.

I know what that is like !!
I wanted to tell everyone about the new bike but was afraid it would all fall through if I did, eventually I couldn't resist I had to ring the guy and get him to re-assure me it had my name on it, so I could tell people !!

Well done man. It was good to see that you had a bike to enter on at all, let alone a bike with 185ish horsepower. This coming winter series is going to be mint.

That's pretty keen on the 9 mate, I've ridden one of those whales, and buggered if I'd go at turn one flat out on it. Way to go man.
