View Full Version : G'dday to all - God I love that Cliffhanger - not as much as it loves 150's tho

This's my first post here; I've been a member of TL Zone for a year, and just came here to look for pic's of the Hillclimb, since Darrens camera dint work::bash:

Anyhoo, I had a great time, maybe a little too great on Saturday night:apint::sick::lol:, which I'm sure was reflected in my times on Sunday:third:(F1). At least I stayed on two wheels though:clap:. Next year...........:first::lol:. Think I'm gonna do some overtime and look for a track bike for next year - maybe Drew and a few others could give me a few pointers when the time comes.

What a crack-up though - the way the Cliffhanger demolished the streetstock class; all those poor 150's. Did they rescue the one down the cliff?

I'd like to say thanks to Nick, Andrew Craig, and a coupla names I can't remember, but you know who you are, for the help with changing my tires on Sat. night, you are da man....s:headbang: Isn't the biking/racing community some of the best people you're ever gonna meet, friendly, helpful and all-round round good peoples....cagers don't know what they're missing.

Anyway, thanx all, and I'll 'see' you round the forums; or at the Gladstone pub. I'm the one with the Big Green Thumping TL.
Cheers, James.

Yeah those 150's gave everything for that Cliffhanger. The one I was on left the darkest black line out of the Cliffhanger corner, as it seized!
It was my pleasure to help with the tyres over a Grapefruit and voddy and some good TL war stories.:)
I think that's the most use my tow ball has ever had on that van.

It was a real prick to get up!
Took 5 of us to get it up, even when we part dragged it with a ute.
Then we had to flop it over the fence at the top.
I worked out the retaining wall was just under 5metres sheer drop right where it went off.

It's Malcolm here, the guy with the multicoloured VFR.

Welcome James and top skills on the TL man. Can't wait to see what you turn up on next year, but it doesn't seem to matter. Everyone has a massive time as long as it doesn't go pear shaped.

Cheers guys - sorry Sully60, Craig, is it? - but you know how it goes; so many faces, so many names, so many vodkas, so few braincells..... Cheers again for the help...:)
