View Full Version : Manawatu: Goodbye Daylight Saving, Hello Winter. BBQ and General Celebration.
86GSXR
17th March 2009, 21:26
Well, with daylight saving almost over and those cool crisp riding days and nights just around the corner, what better time to say au revoir to the long days and a big Hello to Winter eh
So, Monamie and I are having a party to celebrate :2thumbsup Saturday April 4th, 5.30 onwards at the Aokautere 'ranch'. Plenty of room for all, and if wet even more room in the shed! If ya get too emotional then there's plenty of room to throw down a sleeping bag or three.
Everyone welcome, bring your own :apint: and something to eat, and we'll do a few green bits and pieces
There's been a suggestion of a ride beforehand so post up any ideas and see how we go.
If you're keen post away so we have an idea of numbers and we'll PM you directions ;)

Which is a bummer but have promised that I will do the dummy grid for them.
At this stage I am looking at riding up Saturday as racing Sunday, so maybe a ride could be sorted to escort me part of the way.............just a thought.

Noooo that is Waverley, sort of Wanganui district, but the sign south does say welcome to Whanganui and goodbye from South Taranaki district,so suppose it could be classed as part of Taranaki.

I seem to recall you thought it was down the toilet and spent a considerable time looking for it. I thought it was some sort of a prize in the bottom of a bottle or can. But then was informed it was outside and far away.
Bonez's hat looks nice! Wish I had one. Pity the photo wasn't a full body shot. Did you crop it?
It's in the land that time forgot. I must say I had difficulty recalling exactly where it was. Full body shot. I can get one if you like
A stunning pair I must say.
Rather old chap. Tis a classic slice of life that one :D
Glow boys??? Garry looks like he's sniffing two stroke!
Close
somehow, I dont think it be a good idea to start bringing the pics out of last years coast to coast.
Maybe you're right
You need the apron,as we all know the kitchen is inside and Michelle will be in there, remember the gas needs to be turned on eh.
Michelle has got a 'special' pair of oven gloves, just for you :buggerd:
sorry babe .. mind you its best if he has a few days to think about it, just so he does not wiggle out of it
hmm  be right darlin .. you can not get the waited on hand & foot action much longer .. now your back on the bike you can cook again .. BTW when are you cooking us dinner (apart from sat nite)
yeah babe you tell him
I have no problem cooking, this is the 21st century

Think the name of cook is now chef gixxer not chef jellymeat.
The subdues lighting seemed to help the food out,and the liberal sprinkling of lager on the hotplate helped.

Looked at the 02 Green Daytona you mentioned Al... then laughed at the 14K asking price! May have to import one again. Going to be doing a few shortish... I hope... random trips with Maria and who evers tagging along, Sarah etc, over winter so a Daytona 955i would be perfect! Shame we can't get the snowboards on the bike for July/August. Although the way Maria talks it up we are both leaving the mountain in an Ambulance!
