Ive been thinking about these double bubble newfangled screen thingemees. Do they make a significant difference, theyre about a couple hundred bucks so I gues im asking if theyre worth a couple hundred bucks or not!!!, I do a bit of longish distance stuff, but dont wanna spend a few hundred to find it doesnt make a real difference, im just a poor broke student!!!

Don't feel bad about posting in the wrong area, we all do it. However, you need to brace yourself for the barrage of abuse.

I'll start:

Screens are for cars, you big girl, nancy twat.:woohoo:

They do make a bit of a difference but not $200 worth!!! I bought one off a guy in Wellington via trade me. I'll try and find his details and get back to you. It was a generic type but fit really well and more importantly it looked great!

Here we go!

Doesn't look like he's got your model but you could ask. The irony is I used to own the same bike as you and in that colour.

Godiva do one for $150. It sits alot higher than the standard one so obviously deflects the wind higher. I fitted one pretty recently on my F2. The dark tint looks cool alot better than the old one that had become a bit scratched, discoloured etc. Be warned tho, they are a bitch to fit. Need to be just sat right in the fairing, a few mm's out either side and it won't sit right. Took me 2 hours of sweating, swearing and kicking things.

I've got a double bubble screen on my SV. I like it, but I'm not the tallest bloke, so I can tuck down behind it in the rain, etc.

I wouldn't say that it's worth doing if you're on a tight budget. New tyres are much better.
