Every bike that passes scrutineering at Kaitoke on Sunday will have their number put into a bucket (a round plastic one) and at lunchtime, you could have a chance of winning one of six spot prizes kindly donated by Scooterazzi.

So make sure you turn up !!!!

Big thanks to Mark and Jono at Scooterazzi.(http://www.scooterazzi.co.nz). :2thumbsup

Thank you most kindly to Mark and Jono of Scooterazzi for the spot prize.
I won fork oil which turned into brake fluid (what I need very soon) after a quick trade.
So muchas grassy-arse guys! :niceone:

Thanks Korea, was a pleasure to supply the spot prizes. Both Mark and myself enjoy the racing and looks like we may be getting more involved as a shop with at least one more getting out there on the track as well :)

Next step is to work out ways to attract more juniors to the sport!

Well, the wee 13 year old dude who went on on Skunk's bike at lunchtime is a junior MX veteran and is keen to give bucket-racing a go.

I didn't get any prizes (rigged I tells ya!) but thanks to the guys at Scooterazzi for getting in behind us and helping to grow the sport down here. Can't wait for a nice 'green' prize. (hint, hint).
Thanks to Chris to for getting this off the ground and everyone who turned up in the shite weather.

I know a few keen 15 year olds, I will try get them up to the track.
It would be good if they could have a bash on a few different bikes.
I think getting potential enthusiasts out on the track is the way to do it, we all know how addiction takes care of the rest...

Baydens on the money with the "club bike" idea.

So who won what?

Bayden's offered to be the "club bike".
So who wants a piece of that?

 I'll try anything once!

I am heading off to overseas for a couple of months at the end of April back at the start of August, there is a bloke who I am trying to get out to give it a go but not sure how keen he is so if that falls through I would be happy to lend the mighty 15 as a club bike while I am away if it gets the odd oil change.

I might have to take you up on pinching it for the easter meeting. What needs done?

Cheers (the kid who you talked to after)

Ha! "you must spread some... Blah blah"

Was thinking the same thing - oi Andrew! It's a bike shop - not a tinny house!

Great ideas and generosity from the fellas sharing their bikes to encourage up and comers.

Oh yeah, and Bsym1 away means more points for me! Haha! (as long as me bucket runs that is)

I think that's a great idea with making a club bike. I reckon something with a lightly tuned engine to make it competitive but reliable (Loncin??) and a crash proof chassis.

I'm going to sort out the points-taking tomorrow and will post it up once done.

Nothing needs to be done mate I will give it an oil change and look to replace the throttle cable to get some spring back into it (only an issue when it is raining) then then it will be good to go.

I should get it sorted this week so drop me a line around next Wednesday and we can sort out a pick up.

Yeah, as far as I understand Bayden has an old RGV150 he has been putting any profit from buckets into, he's on the lookout for an engine.

Noted.
force your mate out at the easter meeting, once he is on the track the convincing should be done.

Bsym1 I'll take care of #15 for you and take it up for the meets if you want (or are willing to let me take care of it). As to a club bucket if anything needs to be done I'll put my hand up to help with what ever (garage, tools, changing tyres) as I have access to pretty much every tool and machine known to motorcycling man/women/person/gremlin/mad/maniac-kind. i'd prefer not to be the one to push from the far end of the slipway track though.

And much thanks to letting my daughter out. She's already trying to talk me into building her a mini-bucket of her own.
