Oh god, so many of those I was sitting here going "yes" and "uh huh" and "oh, i remember that!"

But as for lighting a fire in your back yard, depends on where you live, the regulations in force and any fire bans in place. We live in a rural area and it seems to be a free for all every weekend - one formerly urban neighbour burns EVERYTHING - he doesn't have a rubbish bin at all and he doesn't recycle, so you can imagine the smell!

I'm pretty sure you're still allowed an incinerator in town, but there are regulations governing its use I think.

I remember the embarrassment of number 17 - I called my (male) biology teacher mum!

Mr King as in my husband? I'll have to ask him if entering dark tunnels gets him excited... ooh, that could have more than one meaning! :shit:

What would Mr King say about #23?You will never ever ever watch tv, ads, or movies the same way in your life if you pay attention to that. If you want to stay normal and not analyse EVERYTHING, I say fall asleep.

Me too. But he will possibly say at one point (you can bring it up even), that sometimes he wishes that after more than 10 years of teaching the subject, that he never started. Sometimes it is better to just be ignorant to some of the stuff you look into. And I agree fully on that point. I cannot watch movies or tv etc now without doing many things unintentionally. Some of them are due to taking media class.

1, of course is I cannot ignore the music. I just get caught up in and can sometimes miss half a film just because I'm so caught up in the music (which half the time nobody else even notices).
2, is Freudian imagery and symbols. A bad choice of words maybe, but they just jump out at me and I can't ignore them.
3, is with comedy generally, but I cannot watch most comedy without analysing it deeper than what's funny. I have to figure out exactly why it's funny, and how as well. Although I'm generally more interested in the why (which is perhaps why I enjoy philosophy better than science and religion - considering sci and rel are about how, where as philosophy is about why).
