Everything is bigger in Texas

I have been in Texas the last 10 Days, it really is frigging huge.

I rode over 1000km today and have another 500km before I cross the border to New Mexico.

Just wanted to confirm everything is bigger in Texas a DIC will cost you up to $17,000

O yeah spring break was on as well, that was huge, even their teeth are bigger!

I spent a lot of time in the DFW area of Texas in the mid-80's. At the time, it was legal to drink and drive, as long as you were not drunk. I used to see bikes with beer holders on the bars, as well as many people drinking beer while driving.
Texas is big, no doubt...

A Harley dealership in El Paso Texas claimed to have 600 bikes for sale, lots of chrome.

Damn right there. I spent 3 months on the Eastern outskirts of Dallas(Mesquite) in 2000. Something "spectacular" about being in gridlock as far as the eye can see on a 5 lane each way freeway. Of course, the novelty of that wore off after about the first 10 minutes! And you have to go to one of the big outdoor superstores just for a look. You could kit out a small army at the cheapest recommended retail price around.

And they have very little road rage because EVERYONE has a gun! Drinking laws are weird though. They have dry counties on the outskirts of Dallas such that you can only buy booze from one or two designated locations. And in restaurants, the "bar" has to be out of view of the main entrance. As soon as you walk around the corner and take a seat, you can see the bar, but you're just not allowed to see it when you walk in. Weird!

A Texan rancher was in NZ and havng a good boast to a kiwi farmer he met on the side of the road...Back home muh ranch is so huge and muh meadows r so big, I can git on muh horse and ride into the meadow in the morning and ride all day and still not reach the other side by sundown...

Yeh mate said the Kiwi Farmer...I used to have a horse like that...

I Did a small ride in Alaska last August on a KLR 650 , good bike

Anchorage to Valdez and back 600miles,a lot like South Westland in NZ but a zillion times bigger.
Lots of Texans in Alaska working oil and they are constantly reminded about the size of their little state down South
