TRACKMAX AT ARDMORE THIS SUNDAY MARCH 22ND

The whole track was bulldozed on Thursday after some rain in the morning so the ground conditions are perfect for powerharrowing another excellent race circuit for the next Trackmax event this weekend. I need help moving the gates so I can clean up the start area and take the sag out of the end gates, so if you can come down and help after 10.00 on Saturday we should be able to get them sorted.

We will start at 10.00 on Sunday and run two long practice sessions, the first for Seniors and the second for Juniors before we start racing.

The Trackmax classes are :
A Grade for Pro and Support 125, 250 and Open Class riders as well as faster Vets.
B Grade is for the slower Vets and Novice riders.
C Grade is for Junior 125 riders.
There is also a separate Junior 85cc class.

We usually run two motos on the day and then practice through until 4.00 depending on the track and weather conditions. At the moment the forecast is for overcast weather this weekend and the track conditions should be perfect, so make sure you get out to the track early for as much riding as possible.

The winners of the Trackmax Tyres from our first 2009 Trackmax Event were Toby Summers for taking 1st in the A Grade in Moto 1 and Brett Kilian for taking 2nd in the A Grade Moto 2 and Peter Druitt for taking a 3rd in Moto 1.

The B Grade winners were Danny Evans for taking 1st in the B Grade in Moto 1 Wayne Chetham for taking 2nd in the B Grade in Moto 1 and Thomas Keith for taking 1st in the B Grade in Moto 2.

The C Grade Junior 125 winners were Michael Summers for 1st in Moto 1, Matt Davies for 2nd in Moto 1 and Blake Churchill for 3rd in Moto 2.

The Junior 85 winners Ben Hahn for the win in Moto 1, Nathan Evans for 1st in Moto 2 and Lucas Walch for 2nd in Moto 2.

The tyres are being given out as part of a loyalty programme to support the Trackmax events so you need to be at riders briefing at the next event this weekend in person (ie sending your sister doesn't count) to pick up the tyres. The 85 winners will also get 21" or 19" tyres. We decided to award tyres to the 85 riders as well because most of you have older brothers on 125s.

The Wildman Racemeets start on April 5th for Round 1 and on May 3rd for Round 2 which is one week before the Schools MX Championship on Sunday May 10th.

Thanks to Daniel Stewart and Aaron Walters for welding the Bulldozer's hydraulic ram and to Jason Christie for sorting out the repairs to the idler. Thanks to Richard Noakes for getting the parts to rebuild the pump and to Norm for doing the rebuild. Thanks also to Brooke for weedeating the tabletop and helping with trackwatering, Brooke and Steve Hahn for splitting the classes, Kay Paula, Natasha, Brooke and Tony Gentile for flagmarshalling, Chris McCulloch for sorting out the repairs to the tractor Wayne, Mike and Kevin for changing the track, Gordon Burden for cutting the braches away from the Cavity Jump, Tony Hardiment and Tony Walch for doing the starts and to Jeremy Brabant, Bob Grove and Mike Cameron for all the work that went into the Environment Court Stay.

Remember - awesome track conditions, stacks of riding, this Sunday at Ardmore.
