View Full Version : Why do lights turn on when VTR250 is started?

Hi guys,

My VTR250 when turned on, with the keys, automatically turns on the head light. I am unable to turn it off. However there is a switch to flick from low to high beam.

I am wondering if there is a switch to turn this off? or is this something all VTRs (even other bikes) have as a safety feature (having lights on while riding)?

Thanks.

Safety feature on many bikes and quite normal on the VTr250.

You'll notice when you thumb the starter the light cuts out. This is to minimise current draw from the battery whilst the starter operates, so it doesn't overdraw on the battery.

I've got the same problem with my fridge light.

But have you pressed the fridge's starter button?

Also notice when milk is low, the hazard light turns on
