hi guys

just wondering if any of you know where to get these carbon fibre silencer/muffler for 2 stroke bike ?

i know TYGA.com make some but I'm sure they're not the only one

my silencer pipes look rough as (scrapped quite bad), so i thought i might as well change it with a better looking one

also, any idea price wise ?

Do you want the pipe for looks or performance?

a bit of both i guess, but if i can't find any carbon fibre one, i wouldn't mind some nice alloy ones

How much do you want to spend on it?

BTW, keep an eye out on trademe. Saw a nice carbon fibre CBR250RR pipe for $200 (Turned out to be TwoSevens)

Well i have an mc21 and an rs 250.The rs has the full tyga system and the nsr a full ethos system. You will get nil benefits from a silencer alone full stop!.The only thing it will do is look nice. The nsr system works quite well and i think the tyga stuff will bolt on to the standard expansion pipes. They are very good to deal with and their prices are the cheapest. You could try JHA in japan or dog fighter not sure if their silencers will fit though, have you done the wire splice yet?.

mate, aren't you the lucky one to have both best 250cc :niceone:

not sure if the wire splice has been done or not, but according to the previous owner it has been derestricted, so power is in the vicinity 55-60hp

how can i check ?

i guess i might bite the bullet and go with tyga ones.. shipping is a bit expensive though..

How to check for wire splice.Up by the pgm unit under the seat unit. There are 2 multi connectors to the pgm cant remember which one but you should see some tape where the previous owner has done the splice that gives you the power but you need to also do the gear position splice.Check out the Tyga site or NSR world they both have pics and instructions.
Also remember ALWAYS USE FULL SYNTHETIC 2 STROKE OIL as all the others will kill your nsr.
