If you're going to limit it to the 70's then I'll go with Alias Smith & Jones too...include the 60's and throw Rawhide and Maverick into the mix and well I'd probably still stump for Hayes and Curry but it'd be closer.

Though it's not on your list...I think 'High Plains Drifter' was a 70's job. That be my fav!

A fistful of dollars
For a few dollars more
The good, the bad and the ugly

Clint Eastwood

Spaghetti western at its finest or did you intend to limit this to TV series?

The Movie 'Maverick' had a couple of actors from the 70's TV westerns at the poker table scene on the boat...Trampus (Big Valley) and Manalito (High Chaparral) maybe a couple of others but they are the two I recall.

I don't think I've ever seen The Big Valley - not sure we even got it in the UK. Lee Majors will always be The Fall Guy for me...I'm prolly a wee bit too young for that bionic stuff...

Gunsmoke.....all I can really remember is the voice of Festus and Sherriff Matt Dillon?....where were the indians?

Bonanza....all too goody good those Cartwright boys, no real cowboy shit going on there, but a great show.

High Chaparral....had all the elements of a great western...Buck/Big John/Blue Boy/Manalito/Victoria and not forgetting the Apache.

Just thinking about about it the other day, theres a new movie out with Kevin Costner where his vote would select the next president, I seem to remember a similar episode in F Troop, where the little guy with the black hair was in the same position.
