Coca Cola - What do you prefer?

Out of the three container types of coke available to purchase, which do you prefer? For myself coke seems to taste the best from a glass bottle and just recently I found a supermarket that stocks them. Cans are okay, plastic bottled coke I'll turn away from. Does anyone else notice a difference?

Yip do. I always thought Coke tasted better out of a glass bottle. Not so much out of a glass and definitely not out of a plastic cup.

While it's good to have a cause, I don't buy coke because I support Nazis - I buy it because I like the taste (Diet Coke, regular is way too sweet) I doubt if the current owners/managers of Coke wear their swastikas to rallies. It is a bit of a worry though, at where their support went in the past.

Glass for me is better, but it isn't a viable option. Plastic / tin is cheaper. It's all about the money.

The Fanta story sort of explains other things too (such as why Coke had a plant there) if ya care to read it.

As for the taste: There is no chemical change between plastic, glass and can. It's in ya head! (But it tastes different to me :confused: )

Nothing ssurprises me about large American corperates. Prior to the attack on Pearl Harbour there was strong support for the Nazi's within corperate america. Once America declared war on Japan Germany and Italy all trading with these three countries stopped. Fanta, as I have heard elseware, was developed as a result of this stoppage. Oddly I prefer fanta to anything else.

I do not drink Coca Cola as a rule, just occasionally.

The first question was what do you prefer to drink it "from".

Even though I dislike the taste, I prefer it from a glass container if I drink it.
To me, yes there is a subtle difference of taste between the containers.

I guess you don't drink Swiss bottled water or buy IBM PC's for the same reason then? Reminds me, must sell the BMW, were around during WWII, made airplane motors, and Ducati, manufactured parts for military after Nazi takeover.... But what about Suzuki, Honda and Kawasaki, weren't they also making bits and bobs during WWII as well. I guess there are similar pages for these companies as well. Going to sell your motorcycle on this basis or are you selective in which multi-nationals you choose to boycott.
