I have a Ducati needing some new tires, or at least a rear tire. Can anyone assist on a good brand for the torque of a v-twin and something for the weekend rider that likes to push the corners a little. Obviously price is a factor.

Try Pirelli Rossos, they come standard on the Ducati 1098, Im about to put these on my own Duc to trial them.
All the feedback I've had so far has been pretty good.
Otherwise...if you are in the Auckland area pop in an talk to us, we should be able to give you plenty of other options!!

Rosso's are a good choice , ran 'em on my 'blade for a while , grip is good but turn in and change of direction is awesome , ballet shoes for your bike but a little bit pricey but hey you own a Duck

im running pilot roads on the back, and sports on the front on my monster, im very happy with these, hardly ever get compression lock or loss of traction coming out of corners. so i vote michelin

I have the same bike as you and are running a Michellin Pilot Sport on the front, and a Pilot Road 2CT on the back.
Its done a couple of trackdays and grips like anything on the road. Have never had any slippage and the life of them seems good.

Suggest Bridgestone BT016's - Multi-compound, the right shapes for your bike, stick like the proverbial and last remarkably well. Wet grip is awesome too, the closest I've seen to a tyre that "does it all"

Hi, What about the Super Corsa2 ? To much of a track tire ?
The Michelin Pilot powers, OEM on my s4rs were great, 6000 km and just fitted a new set. I was none to gentle on them.

Pirelli Diablo Strada is well regarded on the DucatiMS forum.
The essence is that with your bike, good tyres are justified. They are not cheap and don't last long but you'll enjoy the ride.
