Sorry, have never been to it, but it sounds interesting...as long as it is done correctly, burlesque is highly entertaining and not at all sluty.
Let me know how it goes if you do attend.
PS: whoever wrote that review should be shot with a ball of their own shit for using imaginary words such as "provocateuse"...as an honorary member of the BDOTGNZA (bilingual branch), I am quietly outraged!

My girlfriend and I went to a Burlesque performance at the Classic on Queen St recently, put on by http://www.misschiefevents.co.nz/
It was fun, saucy and a great night out. I think I'd go to see more performances in the future. Let us know what you think of this show at The Basement.

Ok the report.
Our show started at 2300 on Sat night. It was a small little place called the basement. It was packed by both males and females. some people came in fancy dress.
The show....... How can I say:2thumbsup FANTASTIC:2thumbsup
Local made show.
I think one of the girls is on Shortland street.
some girls did a show on swings, some did dancing the shadow dance was very good.
It was little segments from other shows.
It was a very good night:hug: We even made a oragami vagina:lol:

Yup CHCH show was grand, started about 8 and we left at 11 with three breaks all up. Another show this tuesday at Fat Freddies in SOL Square. If you can get, you should. $8 for 3 hours fun - cheap as chips
