what do u mean naked bike? not use to that term :D

yer i do like the CBR, don't wanna spend that much tho,
OK- so im thinkin honda is a good path to travel down so far lookin at peoples response.

Na i'ld rather 4-stroke, don't wanna pre-mix, but i know some bikes to it automaticly as well tho, but still rather 4-stroke

Naked bike: look at my profile...

CBR, ZXR, FZR, GSXR 250's are all 4 cylinder 4 stokes and all good. As for km's... 10,000 is high if it hasn't been looked after and 50,000 is fine if it has.

Get it checked out before you pay out. Or get someone who knows their shit to go along with you. :done:

And if Skunk did not clear that up.... lol.... I think they called fairings in English (shit the first time my English fails me....), well naked bikes have none!!!

My ultimate pick in Naked would be the Hornet.... mmmmmmm, but they expensive tho! Also have a look at the Suzukis too, the SVs are nice bigger options, but the Bandit is a really nice 250...

However nothing wrong with a good sports bike... take your time, find the one you like...

Hehehe - I like naked... :shake:

Good luck.

Welcome to the site.
You can buy a brand new GN250 Suzuki for around $3K - 2nd hand ones must be cheaper - not a flash bike but easy to ride and reliable - good first step into road riding. Dont spend too much on the first one cause once you get into it you will want to upgrade sooner or later

Welcome to the site dude, I reckon you should hop onto a GN250, it's been said, they are helluva reliable and cheap to run and almost everyone on this website will vouch for them a good learner bikes, they might not look the part, but if you bide your time, use it to learn and upgrade later.

Go down to Ride Rite and get you licence as soon as soon as possible, all you have to do is ride a scooter round some cones, then go to AA and do a scatchy test.

Despite what 'certain' people say, we are mostly harmless and only bite if you're covered in sticky toffee pudding.

Buy a bike and join us for a ride. Plenty of newbies do.

Welcome to the site. I won't recommend any bikes as I know SFA about faired race-style machines (except that they look cool and go fast.)

I'm one from the "learn on the GN250 and then upgrade later once you've learned how to ride" school-of-thought. Sure they might not look like a mean-as race machine, but they're a great cheap bike to run etc etc and if you drop it, it won't end up costing you heaps to fix - and you can expect to drop it. Maybe you'll make an error of judgement, maybe some idiot will hit you or pull out in front of you, maybe you'll be backing it up and stick your boot in a patch of oil, but sooner or later, your bike will go down. A faired bike costs heaps more to repair - and large amounts of duct tape do not enhance "the look", so you'd have to get it repaired - than naked bikes.

Later on, after you've gained experience riding and got your full licence, trade the GN on the machine you want - you'll be able to afford more as you'll have the GN as a partial (full?) deposit.

An "L" plate doesn't do a lot for "the look", either.

My $0.02 worth.
